Seven early-career researchers from Australia visit the Max-Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens

JUNE 22, 2023
On 22 June, we had the pleasure to welcome seven PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers and two experienced researchers from Australia to our institute for a tour of our labs and facilities. The researchers were all awarded a grant from the Science and Industry Endowment Fund and the Australian Academy of Sciences to attend the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting and to take part in the SIEF Research Innovation Tour in Berlin. The Berlin Tour was led by the Academy Fellow Professor Jennie Brand-Miller and showcased some of Germany’s best research and facilities in the field of medicine and physiology, including MPUSP. Learn more about the researchers here.

The 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, to be held in southern Germany from 25 to 30 June, is dedicated to Medicine and Physiology. It is expected to bring together 635 young scientists from more than 90 countries who will have the chance to interact with 40 Nobel Prize Laureates, including the MPUSP Director, Emmanuelle Charpentier.
